Going Out Series
I’ve always thought that acrylic pipes could be interesting used in jewelry. When I gathered the pipes, I thought it had a manga-like appearance – scenes expressed in panels. So, I created scenes in each tube that come together to tell a story.
The common theme in all the stories is “going out.” The image is about going outside with your friends, going on a date, going on a bike ride, or walking your dog. I hope that every time you look at the jewelry, you feel relieved and feel like you’ve gone out for a while, feeling the pleasant breeze of cycling, the sight of flowers swaying in the wind, and the light. I want to create jewelry that allows you to escape from reality, even for a moment, and feel comfortable– a place where you belong.
