“As a child who grew up seeing many kinds of pearls in a pearl family, I love pearls with unique shapes. I think beauty is about originality, not only perfection. The pearls I chose for these series are all unique and charming to me, just like people. I purposely chose one of a kind, ‘deformed’ pearls, to individually capture facial characteristics.”
