For this statement-making necklace from Yoko Shimizu’s Transformations series, the artist began with split-twig shaped wooden forms before transforming them in resin. The resultant necklace shows details of the original wood, but seems to glow with light like colored glass and despite its size is surprisingly light and easy to wear. This necklace has a short handmade chain of oxidized silver and a bar and loop clasp.
