“SatH” refers to the phrase shelter at home.
The “SatH” copper mesh vessel series was created during the Covid 19 pandemic when all Washington State residents were asked to remain in our homes and only go out if absolutely necessary.
The artist, Lanny Bergner says of his small vessels, “I found the repetitive activity of making these small forms comforting during this isolating and stressful time.”
The artist limited the size and shape of each vessel to two sheets of 6 x 6 in., copper mesh squares. Each vessel is flame painted with different designs on each square and the squares are connected together to create the geometric forms. The mesh was sealed with clear lacquer.
They can be mounted on a wall or set on a table.
