For this statement-making pair of earrings from Yoko Shimizu’s Transformations series, the artist began with a wedge-shaped wooden form of the earrings before transforming it in resin. The resultant resin earrings show details of the original wood, but seem to glow with light like colored glass and despite their size are surprisingly light and easy to wear.
