Yoko Shimizu – Ring

For this statement-making ring from Yoko Shimizu's Transformations series, the artist began with a wooden form of the ring before transforming it in resin. The resultant resin ring shows details of the original wood, but seems to glow with light like colored glass and despite its size is surprisingly light and easy to wear.
