Reminiscent of Matrioshka nesting dolls, Yoko Zeltserman-Miyaji’s new set of lidded, nesting bowls appear to be ordinary round stones, but open to reveal layer upon layer of magically colorful and patterned interiors. Store personal treasures within these hand-carved wooden containers, or display them open to showcase the layers of hand mixed and pigmented, urushi and gold leaf, polished to a smooth finish and sealed with clear urushi.
